The two roots mentioned in the title are usually used in distant past tense : vid and ah.

Vid

Vid is an irregular verb that is veda in the third person. The endings are similar to the perfect tense and follow the same pattern of vowels. However, this used in the present tense, it means “he knows”, not “he knew”.

 Ah

Ah is a normal meaning of perfect tense, however, its indispensable conjugations are absent.
